About the role

Icarus is developing next-generation swarm robotics solutions, with a strong focus on defense, security, and high-end industrial applications. We design systems where UAVs, USVs, and UGVs operate collaboratively, enabling entirely new operational capabilities.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the commercial expansion of Icarus. You will play a key role in shaping our market strategy, identifying strategic opportunities, and converting advanced technological capabilities into concrete business successes.

This position sits at the crossroads of technology, strategy, and customer engagement. You will work closely with the leadership team, engineering teams, and key partners to structure offers, build long-term relationships, and open new markets worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities in defense, security, and institutional markets

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders

  • Structuring commercial offers and participating in contract negotiations

  • Contributing to market analysis, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy

  • Representing Icarus at industry events, demonstrations, and high-level meetings

  • Feeding customer insights back into product and system roadmaps


Requirements


  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, ideally in defense, aerospace, robotics, or high-technology sectors

  • Strong understanding of complex technical systems and the ability to translate them into clear value propositions

  • Experience working with institutional customers (defense forces, government agencies, large industrial players) is a strong asset

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at both technical and executive levels

  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, entrepreneurial attitude

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-growing, innovation-driven environment

  • Willingness to travel internationally

  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus
